Description:

Inspiration Machine.

When we decided to create a studio-class stereo delay effects pedal, we knew we must go well beyond what has been done in the past—in sound quality, sonic flexibility, hardware design, and processing power. We spent months locked up in the Strymon sound design labs dreaming up the most spacious, lush, creative, and tweakable delay effects ever heard. It was a monumental task—a relentless study of delays and their nuances, and a continuous pursuit of innovative and musically inspirational sounds. Utilizing a ridiculously powerful SHARC DSP, every drop of processing power is harnessed.

Explore Your Creativity.

TimeLine provides you with twelve unique delay machines, each with extensive control over sonic character and feel. Go from crisp and clear, studio-quality digital delays all the way to the saturated and fluctuating sounds of tape delay machines. Get warm and fuzzy analog style repeats all the way to shimmery, sparkling, and crystalline ice delays.

Tweak to your hearts content and save up to 200 presets of your favorite sounds. Top it all off with full MIDI implementation and a routable, 30-second stereo looper and you’re on your way to delay bliss.

12 Unique Delay Machines

Digital

A crystal-clear digital delay that can be endlessly tweaked and enriched with the Filter, Grit, Smear, High Pass, and Modulation controls. A wide range of delay tones can be achieved with this classic “voiced” digital approach. In addition, a non-linear mode allows the repeats to fade more quickly, while still retaining a natural feel.

Dual

Two independent delay lines can be configured in series or parallel (right/left split). The second delay has independent Mix, Repeat and Time values, and can also be set to track the first delay’s knob values.

Pattern

The Pattern machine gives you a variety of multi-tap patterns that span from rhythmic to ambient to percussive and everything in between. Filter, Grit and Mod knobs deliver a wide range of delay experiences.

Reverse

You play frontwards, it repeats backwards. Your playing triggers the delays, producing predictable, repeatable, and extremely useful reverse effects. Add some Smear to soften the attacks—smearing transients while retaining full frequency response.

Ice

The Ice machine slices and dices your input and plays the pieces back with a selectable Interval shift amount—from an octave down to two octaves up, and anywhere in between. You can Blend the ice amount from none to all. Selectable Slice size allows further possibilities, changing the size of audio chunks that get shifted.

Duck

Duck — and cover. You get a ducking delay with adjustable Sensitivity and Release Time, along with a switchable Feedback duck option. This allows for a wide variety of dynamic delay effects.

Swell

Variable swell time allows you to match the swell with the delay time. Turn the Mix to full wet and turn up the repeats for ethereal ambient effects. Adjust the Rise Time to set the time constant for the swell effect. Add some Smear to soften the attacks—smearing transients while retaining full frequency response.

Trem

The Trem delay machine provides you with a synchronized tremolo with Waveshape, Depth and Speed for cool new sounds. Choose from triangle, square, sin, ramp, and saw to vary the delay amplitude.

Filter

The Filter delay gives you a synchronized Filter that can be placed before or after the delay. Waveshape, Depth, Speed, Resonance, and Filter Location are all adjustable parameters. Choose from triangle, square, sin, ramp, saw, random, up, and down to vary the delay amplitude. Limitless filter possibilities!

Lo-Fi

Crush some bits with the Lo-Fi delay machine. Adjust Bit Depth and Sample Rate while blending the results with the full resolution signal. Select from several hand crafted lo-fi Filters, spanning transistor radios, telephones, phonographic horns, and other “collectibles”. Top it off with our exclusive dVinyl record noise, adding a scratchy record complete with dust and dirt.

dTape

The dTape machine delivers the complete experience of sought-after sliding-head tape echo machines, with every attribute relentlessly studied and faithfully recreated. Full control over Tape Age, Wow & Flutter, Tape Crinkle, Tape Bias, Low End Contour, and Tape Speed.

dBucket

The dBucket machine provides you with a deep and nuanced recreation of analog bucketbrigade style delay types. Two delay time ranges are available, for single or multiple BBD chip delay times. Utilize our exclusive Bucket Loss control, along with dedicated Filter and Mod controls.

Features

200 Built-In Presets

Are presets your thing? TimeLine gives you the option to instantly save and recall up to 200 of your own presets. Easily bank up or down through your presets using the front panel switches. Or select presets externally with a MultiSwitch or MIDI controller.

Expression Pedal Control

Plug in an expression pedal and control any knob or combination of knobs, all saveable per preset. Or plug in an external momentary Tap Tempo switch for remote control of your tap tempo.

Built-In Looper

TimeLine comes with a built-in 30-second stereo looper, routeable pre- or post-delay. Record, overdub, play, and stop are right at your feet. Record the delay signal to your loop, or route the looper before your delay and saturate your dry loop in echoey goodness. Super simple to use and a ton of fun.

You can also control the looper with a MultiSwitch or external MIDI controller to access reverse, half speed, undo-to-initial-loop, and redo functions.

Feedback Loop

Switch to Feedback Loop mode and run an external effects pedal in the feedback loop of your TimeLine.

Extensive MIDI Support

Have a more complex rig? TimeLine offers a complete MIDI implementation to connect to your MIDI gear. Sync your delay time to MIDI clock. Remote control of any knob, parameter, or switch. Select your presets via MIDI. You can even send MIDI messages to the built-in looper.

Happy for now but not impressed
    Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
So, I have a insignia fire tv so you would think an Amazon fire soundbar would work perfectly? It was particularly hard to set up, but the issue was that tv speakers wouldn't switch off so I would have an echoing, double effect of audio. The setting said they were off, but they were not. In fact, I couldn't even switch them off normally. Even with nothing connected, I switch them off and still get sound pushed through. I kept trying to fix it. What I had to do was: 1) Settings 2) HDMI-CEC control 3) Switch One Touch Play off 4) Turn off Soundbar 5) Set Volume to 0 6) Turn Soundbar back on That seem to let the soundbar function independently, get rid of the echoing, and get everything to work as described. The downside, the volume will only go up and down at 2 intervals despite what I set it to internally. And, there is no easy way to switch between the TV and sound bar for audio without screwing up the good result I got after working all day on it. Also, make sure you plug into your first HDMI port/Arc port. I had my gaming console set up and didn't realize my intital issue of no sound was the fact that I needed to swap the ports. Frankly, being an Amazon soundbar with and Amazon TV that specifically has a set up for it. I would say the functionality kind of sucks because it it should just work, like it says it should, by following the instructions without having to search up and down for way to keep both audios from playing. Like, the setting say the internal speakers were off despite being a lie and that setting effected nothing. It made it more difficult them it needed to get it to work somewhat normally. I would prefer to set it so volume interval is 1 but I guess to make this usable I am stuck at 2 everytime. And, I better hope that nothing changes and messes it up again in a update to the TV. The sound itself is a improvement, and there is a marked difference between regular and surround sound. It sort of like watching TV versus going to a theater. It terms of the way it fills the room and hits your ear. I can't say that the movie, music, dialogue settings seem to different to me. The size is okay. It just tall enough to not block my screen. The length is just about the size of my dresser. Depth is about 3.5 inches so as long as you have another room in front or to push back your TV, you will be fine. Overall, it is nice but I am not sure if I am total happy I bought it considering it was almost $90 for what I would categorize as works okay. I feel like for that price, and the fact I specifically bought Amazon for the fact I thought it would better with fire tv, that I am not blown away. Happy for now, but not impressed.

Pretty good unit for my PC
    Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
Not bad little unit. I didn't buy for my TV but rather for my desktop as I kind of got annoyed with wearing headphones to just either listen to tunes or more importantly watch tutorials or other problem solving methods for my work. Many of the other units I see are super long making them unusable in this situation but this one is nice and short and sounds just as good as others. Unless you're truly an audio perfectionist I feel that the vast majority of sound bars are pretty much indistinguishable from each other. I also like how this unit is relatively easy to use and has the optical audio port I like to use. It's also not super light like some of the really cheap Chinese ones I've gotten over the years. It's only matters to me as if things are too light and cheap they either move or shift super easy which always kind of annoys me. Overall a pretty good bang for my buck. We'll see how it holds up over time. Although being a speaker I expected to almost be immortal.

Sound is great and easy to hook up
    Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
It took a total of two minutes to have this thing powered up and working on my TV. For such a low price, I could not believe the sound that this thing puts out in a large bedroom 18’X21’. With being able to select the different sound on the equalizer, it really helped make the sound sound like a much more expensive unit. I listened to music, movies, and the news and they all sound great. I don’t know why this thing got negative reviews but for the size, price and not having a sub, I have never heard a better sounding one. You will not be disappointed, unless you are a serious audio nerd. I would definitely buy another one if need be.

    Asurion worked when needed!
My faithful dust buster broke and the nozzle wouldn't stay attached to the vacuum. I used my Asurion extension and they took care of it quickly with no hassle. Thanks

Great coverage, easy to use, quick response to requests
Great service. Very easy to request and quick to receive a resolution. Their website is a bit confusing, it seems to default to mobile phone inquiries, there is another section to request service on other items. I will definitely purchase protection in the future.
